Good Beginnings That Last A Lifetime

GROWTH + SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT

Forty Carrots Family Center’s mission is to nurture healthy child and family development through research-based, relationship focused education and mental health services.

Our Generations of Change campaign includes an additional building for sustained program expansions in Mental Health and Parenting Education services. The need for prevention, intervention and treatment services is critical and timely in the face of increasing hardship in our community.

THE NEED FOR EXPANSION

Over the past 30 years, Forty Carrots has grown exponentially, serving over 5,000 clients annually. Expanding our Parenting Education and Mental Health services is due to the overwhelming community need and our unique approach to outreach partnerships allows us to efficiently and broadly serve all families, regardless of ability to pay. Currently, 92% of clients receive services at no charge or on a sliding scale.

“Let’s raise
        children

  who won’t have to recover
  from their childhoods.”

THE IMPACT

Demand for services continues to rise. Forty Carrots has increased our Mental Health Services over 70% since 2020 and we need space to provide more critical access. This expansion will allow increases over 100% in Mental Health as well as over 30% in Parenting Education over the next several years.

Additional related program enhancements that will be made possible by a successful campaign:

  • Appropriate infrastructure to support expanded service delivery
  • Additional staff trained/specializing in Infant Mental Health, Maternal Wellness, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Circle of Security®
  • Research Based designation for Partners In Play® and Welcome to Our World® parenting education classes
  • Intern program to grow and train new staff
