FORTY CARROTS
+ THE SALVATION ARMY
FINDING SHELTER AND STABILITY
The Salvation Army Pathways of Hope initiative is a residential program for homeless families and their children, where they receive free housing and case management services while rebuilding their lives. The Pathways of Hope program is formatted to take action to help break the generational cycle of crisis while promoting a path out of poverty.
By offering family therapy to children and families who are homeless, Forty Carrots therapists work to:
- Offer a safe space for families to process and build skills to manage life’s stressors
- Promote and strengthen the parent-child relationship
- Support and empower families as they pursue financial & economic stability
- Build confidence in parenting skills & strengthen parent-child communication
By supporting and positively influencing the lives of parents and children facing homelessness, Forty Carrots is contributing to an intergenerational impact on poverty in the community.
“This partnership has allowed them to access a resource to help stabilize, take a breath and obtain support as they move towards self-sufficiency.”
