SOLVE MATERNITY HOMES + FORTY CARROTS
PROVIDING A SAFE HAVEN, SUPPORT AND SKILLS FOR AT-RISK MOTHERS AND EXPECTANT MOMS
SOLVE is a safe place to call home for expectant women and moms struggling with poverty, addiction or abuse.
Parenting Educators from Forty Carrots Family Center travel to SOLVE’s residential center, where they provide mothers and expectant moms with the tools, resources and support that are critical at the start of their parenting journey. In working with SOLVE residents and their babies, Forty Carrots’ Parenting Educators positively impact future generations, one family at a time.
With Forty Carrots, young moms and expectant moms will:
- Feel more supported in their role as a parent.
- Learn how to develop strong emotional bonds with their child.
- Develop the practical skills involved in taking care of their baby.
- Improve parent-child communication.
- Understand why children behave like they do.
- Create a support network and relieve the sense of isolation.
- Develop a sense of self-esteem and confidence in their role as a parent
