The Safe Children Coalition is a non-profit, community-based care provider of education, prevention, diversion, and child welfare services including adoption and foster care. Clients with case plans are often referred to Forty Carrots for either a parenting education class or family therapy services, per their court order, as they work towards reunification with their child(ren).

Forty Carrots parenting education and family therapy work with Safe Children Coalition families to:

  • Offer a safe space for families to process and address parenting challenges
  • Build confidence in parenting skills, the ability to maintain a secure parent-child relationship and the use of reflective practice in parenting
  • Help re-establish physical and relational safety between children and caregivers

Forty Carrots offers Circle of Security® parenting course is free to parents and caregivers, including those with case plans referred by the Safe Children Coalition. Circle of Security® parenting is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children.

“Because of the Circle of Security® group, I have learned to be more interactive with my child and that time together is very important. I am now doing this by talking and understanding my child more I can also understand my own emotional needs working to create and be a better person than I was. I feel because of this group I am becoming a better parent.”
