In addition to the new classroom, a new sensory room was introduced to the preschool. This space allows teachers to bring small groups of children into the room for a quieter time involving calming physical play. Children can be found engaging with the marble wall, thanks to a generous donation from the Sarasota Children’s Museum. The room also features a sand table, yoga balls, and sensory tiles, providing productive ways to stimulate the children’s senses. The expansion of the preschool has been a very positive experience, and we look forward to adding more equipment to the sensory room and welcoming more children into the school.
