Mental Health Therapist
The Child and Family Therapy Department of Forty Carrots Family Center is accepting resumes for a Part-Time Mental Health Therapist. The applicant must have a minimum of three years of experience in therapeutic settings and experience working with children, adolescents, and families. A current License in the State of Florida as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor is a prerequisite. We are seeking applicants with proven skill set including interpersonal, organizational, spoken, and written skills, and the ability to work with culturally diverse clients. The Preschool at Forty Carrots Family Center has openings for qualified substitute teachers to join our NAEYC accredited preschool team for the 2016-2017 school year. Bachelor’s degree or higher with some experience preferred. Familiarity with NAEYC, Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold will be a plus, and completion of required DCF training. The Parenting Program has an opening for a Part-Time Parenting Educator, approximately 15 hours weekly. This position will be responsible for developing trusting, nurturing, and supportive relationships with families, providing the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life. This individual must demonstrate the ability to work with parents and their young children in group and individualized settings, and must show the ability to engage families through a strength-based approach. Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, General Education, Counseling, Social Work, Nursing or related field and experience working with children and families.
