Heather Williams, CPA/CFP®, is a shareholder at Kerkering Barberio & Co., Certified Public Accountants. Her areas of practice are in individual, estate and trust tax planning, including family-owned business consulting. In addition, she is an adjunct accounting professor at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee.
Ms Williams holds a Master of Accounting in Taxation from Florida State University and a Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance from the University of South Florida. She has worked in the field of public accounting for fifteen years at three different national and regional accounting firms specializing in family wealth planning for personal, business succession and estate planning.
Ms Williams’ commitment to community and profession was recognized by both The Greater Sarasota Chamber as the 2016 Young Professional of Year and the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance as the 2015 Sandies Young Professional of the Year. She serves on the board of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance and is a member of the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also volunteers in many activities at her children’s schools and is a YMCA volunteer basketball coach.
Ms Williams is married and a proud mother of three active children who keep her on the go. When she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time on the boat fishing with her family and making yearly scrapbooks of her children's lives.
